PAY RATE: $20.36 - $28.78 (USD) PER HOUR JOB SUMMARY: The Streets III Winter Seasonal Snow Removal position removes snow from across the city to provide enhanced community safety throughout the winter season. TYPICAL DUTIES: Operates a variety of specialized equipment such front-end loader, trucks, de-icing, snow hauling, plowing, sweeping and cleaning streets, in a safe, courteous, and professional manner. Assists with asphalt paving/patching, striping/ traffic markings. Installs signposts, street signs, checks for maintenance and replaces broken signs as needed. Places temporary traffic control devices including barricades, lane cones and warning signs to channel traffic. Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be over the age of 18 Must maintain a DOT physical card with the ability to obtain/ maintain a Utah Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brake PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of heavy/ snow removal equipment operation Working knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment Ability to work alone and make sound decisions WORKING CONDITIONS: Shift work; (4) 10-hour shifts per week Working in inclement weather conditions and extreme temperatures Periodic exposure to stressful situations.
