The Design Engineer II is a key member of the Trebor Engineering Team. With supervision, The Design Engineer II creates design details including drawings, work instructions and layouts. They are able to troubleshoot technical issues in product testing & manufacturing. They have a solid grasp on product development processes and tools making minor changes to designs that result in increased product quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• 
  Design, test, analyze, integrate, qualify and document pumps of moderate complexity
  
  
• 
  Modify, improve and cost reduce existing product.
  
  
• 
  Able to instrument products, gather data and make product upgrades from design of experiments
  
  
• 
  Perform engineering tests to validate the product or design.
  
  
• 
  Actively participates in design reviews and failure mode effects analysis
  
  
• 
  Develop and document minor changes to designs
  
  
• 
  Hit project timelines driving assigned tasks to completion
  
  
• 
  Runs reports and maintains coding and structure for all part numbers
  
  
• 
  Troubleshoots ERP system issues

    Performs other duties as assigned or needed.

    Maintains technological awareness of design and engineering tools, materials, methods and practices.

    Maintains awareness of market and technical trends and standards as they relate to design and manufacture of fluid management systems and plastic injection molding.
    
    
    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

      Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. occasionally, movement within an office complex and outside in the field
      
      
    • 
      Write by hand and keyboard
      
      
    • 
      Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required
      
      
    • 
      Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use
      
      
    • 
      Significant travel is required

        QUALIFICATIONS
        
        • 
          
        • 
          B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of two years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, five years of related experience
          
          
        • 
          Strong CAD skills
          
          
        • 
          Experience using Visual or JD Edwards software knowledge preferred
          
          
        • 
          Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work in a team environment
