The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range
of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions
including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training;
licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational

families.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain audio equipment, including mixing
consoles, microphones, communications systems, recorders, and audio
playback systems.
- Set up and calibrate audio systems in various settings,
ensuring optimal sound quality and appropriate volume levels.
- Mix and balance audio elements in real-time during broadcasts
and live events, adjusting as needed to achieve the best audio
quality.
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, presenters, and
technical crew to understand sound requirements and artistic
visions.
- Monitor audio levels, troubleshoot issues, and address
technical glitches swiftly to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate with the technical team to integrate audio with
lighting, video, and other production elements seamlessly.
- Implement sound effects, music cues, and other audio elements
as required by the production.
- Manage audio recordings for archiving and post-production
purposes.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, technological
advancements, and best practices in audio engineering and sound
design.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skill and
Abilities:
- Profound knowledge of audio engineering principles, microphone
pickup patterns, signal flow, acoustics, routing, and sound
reinforcement techniques.
- Expertise in operating professional audio equipment, including
mixing consoles, microphones, processors, and speakers.
- Strong understanding of broadcast protocols, live event
dynamics, and the unique challenges associated with each.
- Proficiency in audio editing software and digital audio
workstations for post-production tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with
diverse teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical
stakeholders.
- Capacity to maintain Audio equipment in a clean & organized
manner.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to
dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Creative flair for enhancing audio experiences, creating
immersive soundscapes, sound effects, foley, and employing
innovative techniques.
- Proficiency in industry-standard audio software and hardware
including Dante Audio, Adobe Audition, Waves Plug-Ins, and
ProTools.
- Strong Understanding of audio compression, equalization, and
loudness normalization for location, broadcast, and post-production
audio.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, Sound Design, or a
related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu
of a degree.
- 3+ years of professional experience in audio engineering, with
a demonstrated focus on broadcast and live event sound mixing.
- Familiarity with Blackmagic brand broadcast and live-production
equipment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations related to
audio equipment and event setups.Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a
computer.
- Physical capability to lift and transport audio equipment as
required. Up to 50 lbs. at times.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including some evenings
and weekends, based on production schedules.
- Ability to travel to production locations with some out of
