The Job
The Business Development Manager reports to the Questionmark Chief Customer Officer (CCO) and works closely with the Marketing, Pre-Sales and Account Management teams. This job is remote and operates within a 40-hour work week.

The Work
The Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing revenues within the assigned US/CAN market sectors -by appealing to prospective customers and navigating them through the engagement, evaluation, -and eventual adoption of Questionmark's products and services.

Role & Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager ("BDM") will work independently and within a team to create and maintain successful engagements with prospective customers, appropriately position Questionmark products and solutions, navigate complex commercial sales processes and ultimately increase revenues within the assigned markets by achieving annual sales targets.
Applicants for this BDM position should be:

- - - - - - -Capable of effectively presenting SaaS software and solutions through virtual web meetings primarily, however some face-to-face meetings and travel will be required (as local COVID restrictions and protocols allow)

Confidently and proactively prospect for new business
Manage the sales process from the initial opportunity through to the securing the sales order
Maintain and build close-knit relationships
Develop and sustain knowledge and experience of the industry and relevant technologies, as well as trends affecting the market
Analyze sales statistics, prepare accurate and timely sales reports

Ideally you'll have
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales goals
Demonstrated experience to effectively prospect, accurately forecast, develop/manage a realistic pipeline and qualify appropriate prospects to opportunity stage
Ability to develop, nurture and build relationships with new customers and internal stakeholders
Strong communication skills
Ability to engage with both technical and business orientated decision makers
Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
Capacity to prioritize
Excellent presentation skills
High energy levels
Positive 'can do' attitude

Experience and Skills
This position requires an experienced professional who:

Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Motivates and mentors team members, resulting in increased, profitable activity that aligns with team and company objectives
Is solutions focused, with the expertise in selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning and execution
Pays attention to detail, with a high degree of emotional intelligence and the ability to handle interpersonal relationships tactfully and judiciously
Has an aptitude for negotiation and persuasion
5-7 years in software/SaaS sales
BA/BS degree
Experience selling cloud-based applications
Experience navigating legal, security and procurement organizations
Training in solutions or customer-centric selling
Excellent presentation and listening skills
Ability to provide accurate forecasting and pipeline development and management
Motivation to prospect and supplement pipeline
Proven track record closing sales from $50K - $500K ARR
Working knowledge of CRM (D365/Salesforce)/Microsoft Office Suite/LinkedIn Sales Navigator/Outreach
Additional skills that would be an asset to this role include experience in testing/assessment, eLearning or Ed Tech software sales.
