and the financial world. The Role The Director of Asset-Liability
Management (ALM) and Hedging will manage and develop several
critical and evolving balance sheet management functions including
firmwide Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), Earnings-at-Risk, NII, and
EVE sensitivity modeling, deposit pricing, DV01 risk modeling on
firm assets and hedges, investment portfolio management,
forecasting of potential and expected hedging outcomes. This role
will also own the design and execution of the firm---s asset and
liability hedging strategies by trading in multiple rates, credit,
and fixed income instruments, building and maintaining
relationships with trading counterparties, and ensuring appropriate
governance and controls surrounding critical trading and
operational processes. This role reports to the Corporate Treasurer
and spans all firmwide businesses and entities. This dynamic role
requires a leader who can collaborate across multiple senior
stakeholders, business units, capital markets, treasury, FP&A,
accounting, legal, risk, and other teams to develop a team of
talented professionals and drive several transformational
objectives related to the bank and firmwide balance sheet strategy.
What You---ll Do Oversee and execute day to day hedging activities,
facing off directly with trading counterparties Be connected to and
intimately familiar with markets, economic / macro factors, and
formulate well informed views to influence hedging decisions Own
measurement of and reporting for firmwide interest rate risk (DV01,
EaR, EVE, NII, etc.) Monitor and manage corporate investment
portfolio and participate in various NII generating strategies
Perform ad-hoc analyses and make hedging recommendations Be
familiar with and own trading legal agreements including ISDA,
CDEA, MSFTA, clearing agreements, etc. Collaborate closely with
other areas of Treasury including Liquidity, Treasury Ops, Funding
to optimize the firm---s funding sources to maximize earnings and
manage gap risks Utilize the firm---s balance sheet to develop and
drive key performance for ROE, NIM, etc. objectives Oversee and
maintain parts of the firm---s FTP model and framework Partner with
engineering, data, and other technical resources of the firm to
automate modeling and reporting requirements Manage a talented and
driven team of professionals while exhibiting SoFi---s core values
and cultivating a best-in-class culture Facilitate Asset Liability
Committee (ALCO) meetings across the firm and bank Create
presentation material and and effectively communicate/present to
Regulators and Senior Executives What You---ll Need 10 years of
work experience in ALM, treasury, deposit modeling, trading,
funding, capital markets, fixed income portfolio management, or
funds transfer pricing disciplines at a bank, asset manager, or
other financial services institution Bachelor---s degree in
economics, finance, mathematics, accounting, or related field; CFA,
MBA, or FRM a plus Ability to manage complex end-to-end projects
(data capture, model design, technology development, validation,
implementation, and use) Knowledge of processes, tools, and
techniques used to analyze and evaluate market and industry trends
and risks Experience with calculating various interest rate risk
sensitivities including DV01, EaR, EVE, and NII Familiarity with
applicable banking regulations including SR10-1 interagency
guidance, Basel, and enhanced prudential standards of the
Dodd-Frank Act a plus Expertise in rates, credit, fixed income
markets, securitized assets and/or warehouse funding activities
Computer skills, including advanced Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Outstanding
communication, presentation, and organizational skills Experience
working directly with regulators and examination teams Ability to
