Job Description:
Intermountain Healthcare invites applications for the position
of Medical Assistant Float Pool PRN. This vital role supports
varying departments by performing administrative and clinical tasks
to ensure high-quality care and efficient operations across our
network of hospitals and clinics. The successful candidate will
adapt quickly to different clinical environments, uphold the
highest standards of patient care, and epitomize the values of our
community-focused, not-for-profit health system. Ideal applicants
bring a robust foundation in medical assistance, flexibility, and a
commitment to healthcare excellence. Assist in examination and
treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Document
patient care services by charting in patient and department
records. Perform routine clinical tasks to support medical staff,
such as taking vital signs, administering medication, and
collecting specimens. Prepare treatment rooms for patient
examinations, keeping the environments sterile and equipped. Assist
with scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records.
Rotate among various clinical settings as required, adapting to the
needs of each department. Proficiency in clinical procedures,
including administering injections, EKGs, point-of-care testing.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage
multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment. Excellent
communication skills to effectively deal with varied patients and
team members. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the
American Association of Medical Assistants or Registered Medical
Assistant (RMA) credentials preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required.
