(long term care pharmacy) Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84119
Duration: 03 Months (with possibilities of extension) Shift: 8 hour
shifts between 8am to 8:30pm Mon-Fri, 10:30am to 7pm Saturday, 12pm
to 6:30pm Sunday Summary As specialists in senior care, Omnicare
provides a broad array of pharmacy-related services to long term
care facilities and to other customers in the healthcare
environment. As a pharmacist for our Long Term Care Pharmacy you
will work in an exciting, dynamic and fast paced environment,
ensuring the continuation of pharmacy management's goals and
objectives within the dispensing pharmacy. This pharmacist will
provide routine and emergency comprehensive and accurate drug
screening, information, processing, and dispensing services for
various drug distribution systems to the centers. We are looking
for someone who has a phenomenal work ethic to provide outstanding
service and to ensure that the appropriate drug product reaches the
customer both efficiently and safely. Duties •/tEnsure accurate
entry of orders •/tMaintain security of the pharmacy •/tAdhere to
required delivery schedules •/tVerify orders entered by technician
staff for accuracy. •/tCheck for completeness and precision of all
new and refill labels and orders. •/tCheck for content and accuracy
of all drug packaging and labeling. •/tPreparation and/or
supervision of sterile IV drug products or solutions, if required.
•/tAssist in maintaining a perpetual inventory for schedule II
drugs. •/tKnowledge of DEA and state law with regards to controlled
drug dispensing. •/tProvide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
during scheduled rotation based on the needs of the business.
•/tFollow all applicable state and government regulations including
HIPAA. •/tOther duties as assigned (these vary by location).
Experience •/tMinimum (Required) Qualifications: (must be met in
order to perform the job at the required level) •/tCurrent license
to practice pharmacy in good standing Proficient in the area of
clinical interpretation: drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food
interactions and allergies •/tAbility to read, write, speak, and
understand the English language Excellent interpersonal skills and
well-developed verbal and written communication skills Perform
accurately and efficiently when dispensing prescription medications
•/tAbility to work flexible hours, which may include evening,
weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications •/tKnowledgeable
about long term care regulations (OBRA, OSHA, state laws and other
federal laws) that have an impact upon both pharmacy and Center
operations preferred Education •/tBachelor of Science Degree in
