Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Systems Administrator DEPARTMENT: Network and Digital
InfrastructureREPORTS TO: VPSUMMARY: Aligned Data Centers is
seeking an experienced and talented Systems Administrator to assist
with the management of Windows and Linux servers. Responsibilities
include building, deploying, running and maintaining business
application servers, reporting servers, web servers, databases, and
middleware. In addition, the Systems Administrator will interface
with the IT Development team to move applications from test
environments to production and coordinate with other engineering
groups to configure and operate application software.
Responsibilities also include writing technical and training
documentation for the IT department. The candidate will also
research and select the technologies that will support our
infrastructure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide 2nd/3rd-level
support for local and remote staff computing issues.Design and
manage the implementation of server strategies, including projects
such as system transitions, mail services and mass
upgrades.Expertise in the Installation, use, administration and
troubleshooting of VMware Virtual environmentBuild, manage and
maintain the SAN/NAS architecture (storage and fileshares).Develop
and manage the documentation of systems, software, and
processes.Perform server management including building and
maintenance performance optimization. Also includes monthly server
audits for Sarbanes Oxley requirements.Monitor, analyze, and
recommend process improvements.Manage and implement backups based
on requirements.Setup, deploy, test and maintain new Windows Server
systems. Monitor and Maintain existing and future Windows Server
hardware.Manage one or more of the following technologies: Active
Directory, Azure, Intune, SQL Server and O365 Mail System. In
collaboration with the IT Network Engineering team, configure and
troubleshoot basic Windows Server network connectivity.Maintaining
Data Center footprint - this includes the rack and stack of
equipment, management of power consumption and heat output, and
emphasizing a green environment.Maintain system of 24/7 on-call
support for applications and servers. Participate in IT projects
and deliverables as neededProven analytical skills, problem solving
ability and debugging skills QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years MS Windows
Server experience Current Microsoft certification a plus (MCSE,
Azure Administrator, etc.)Experience installing and troubleshooting
Active Directory (Group Policy, Active Directgory File Services,
etc.)OS Knowledge of UNIX/Linux (not expert in)Strong commitment to
customer excellence. Demonstrated troubleshooting/problem solving
experience for server platforms. Ability to think
creativelyEffectively communicate technical ideas and concepts to
staff, in person and by phone. Must possess the ability to work as
a team player and display positive team behaviors. Must be able to
