Our accredited private school allows students to continue their education while receiving treatment.If you want to join a team team of professionals passionate about providing world class care to the patients we serve, please submit your resume via the online career center: Essential functions for the LPN include the following:Demonstrates understanding of physical, emotional, cultural, religious and psychosocial needs of patientsIdentifies, implements and documents patient teachingAssist in providing a safe, therapeutic environmentAdministers medications appropriately and documents all data accurately according to facility policy.Prioritizes nursing care interventions according to individual patient and overall unit milieu needsResponds with therapeutic interventions to disruptive behavior disordersProfessionally collaborates with all staff members to facilitate coordinated contribution to patient care; maintains continuity of patient careServes as a role model for patients to observe and learn more socially effective values, attitudes and behaviorsParticipates in the development of patient's problem solving abilitiesIntervenes in crisis situations, using propoer techniques, to promote positive growth and development and seeks to reduce dysfunctional patterns of behaviorIdentifies verbal and non-verbal cues for potential aggressive behavior and applies de-escalation techniques to situationIntervenes in medical emergencies including proper notification of administration, physicians, primary therapist, and familyEducation/Experience: State of Utah LPN LicenseExperience in mental health field preferred but not required.
