Position Summary:

The purpose of the Senior Talent Acquisition Partner is to realize the mission, vision, philosophy, and values of San Juan Regional Medical Center by conducting initial interviews and sourcing for SJRMC for clinical and non-clinical positions. As a Senior Talent Acquisition Partner, primary responsibilities will revolve around developing and maintaining talent acquisition action plans that match the growth goals of the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent 8 to 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition/Human Resources Department
  • 5 to 8 years of work in with in a high volume recruitment environment
  • Resourceful and innovative in approach to Talent Acquisition and exceptional at managing relationships and building candidate pipelines
  • Excellent  customer service and employee experience acumen
  • Pleasant personality, ability to deal with the public and maintain accurate records
  • Ability to receive and accept direction and instruction in a positive and cooperative manner
  • Proficient in MS Office and computer experience
  • Experience with college recruiting and job fairs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in human resources/business administration  and/or a related field
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP
  • Workday or related cloud based ERP experience
  • Healthcare or Hospital recruiting experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • In partnership with the Director of Talent Management, implement staffing strategies that integrate into SJRMC’s diversity and inclusion strategy
  • Continuously follow-up with hiring managers to confirm staffing plans and candidates needs are met
  • Possess a wide range of experience on current external recruiting policies, practices and trends.
  • Propose and implement ongoing improvements to SJRMC recruitment efforts.
  • Partners with managers to identify needs, job specifications, and qualifications necessary to fill positions
  • Own overall strategy for hiring metrics, including reporting on vacancies, average time to fill, and goal vacancy percentage
  • Accesses and utilizes HR information systems and data to run reports and validate, analyze, and utilize global employee data to make strategic and operational HR decisions
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with an emphasis on tact , diplomacy, and service
  • Develops and implements organizational recruiting strategies to attract and find the best qualified candidates; is able to sell to candidates the company, the function and role
  • Creates recruitment advertising and online postings. Sources candidates through online social networking and job boards, community involvement, professional networking, local media resources, employee referrals, agency referrals and other sources as needed
  • Assesses potential candidates for fit within the position identified, including skills, education, and experience and also competency and SJRMC culture alignment
  • Conducts screening interviews and interviews by evaluating employment factors such as job experience, education, training, skills, knowledge and abilities and other data relevant to the selection process. Partners with HR Business Partners and managers to further evaluate candidates after on-site interviews. Ensures candidates meet minimum job requirements
  • Prepares, extends and negotiates competitive job offers
  • Builds strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers and HR and ensures a high level of customer service, with a constant focus on the applicant and candidate experience
  • Keeps hiring managers informed throughout the recruitment process
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a high-paced, changing work environment as well as the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.
  • Develops and executes on innovative methods to source, evaluate, and pipeline external passive, diverse candidates for potential employment
  • Maintains integrity of all staffing process records within Workday applicant tracking system
  • Manages external vendor relationships with key hires or hard to fill requisitions.
  • Strives for continuous improvement on key performance metrics such as time-to-fill and satisfaction surveys
  • Attends recruitment events as needed
  • Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors/suppliers
  • Completes recruitment projects as requested
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required

  • Office Environment
  • Prolonged sitting
  • Frequent interruptions
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Exposure to weather when walking between the Center of Workforce Excellence and the Hospital
  • May have to work professionally with uncooperative, disgruntle employees while upholding the mission, vision, and values of SJRMC
