With offices nationwide, Consor North America's Utah office focuses on clients in the Intermountain West. We are seeking an energetic and knowledgeable professional for our environmental group in our West Jordan, Utah office. The Environmental Specialist/Scientist will be responsible for field work, environmental reports, permitting, and specific business opportunities and operations.Successful candidates should have a four-year bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Archaeology, or a related technical degree. Good verbal and written communication skills, a great attitude, and a desire to learn and develop is important. Must be eager and willing to learn new skills associated with working on master planning, design and development, and general landscape design projects.Planning and managing all aspects of small to medium environmental projects and processes (e.g., NEPA).Assisting public and private clients with permit coordination acquisition and compliance.Defining the level of environmental analysis required.Independently coordinating the work of professional staff on projects.Establishing client relations, including with marketing, contractual, design and production meetings.Participating in reviews with various governing agencies for compliance.Leading preparation for and participation in public information meetings and hearings.Conducting work sessions for environmental documentation development and contract documents in conjunction with other staff.Coordinating workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule.Tracking the financial aspects of the projects and coordinating and adjusting the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed to schedule.Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Archaeology, or related technical degree (*required)1-5 years environmental experience (*required)Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulationsStrong environmental writing and communication skillsStrongconceptual organizationalproblem solving and research abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a teamTransportation projects with NEPA experience is a plusMaster's degree is a plusWetland Delineation experience is a plusExisting client relationships a plus
