Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis, and initiation of nursing processes and procedures concerning lactation patient and her infant. Supports training and support of new associates on breastfeeding techniques and standards of care; serves as a subject matter expert to the units in their facility. Will need to demonstrate a developing knowledge and skills relevant to lactation and adult learning principles. Basic knowledge of Adult Learning Principles needed to plan, implement and present/facilitate education for clients and/or hospital staff. Experience demonstrating the competent assessment, treatment, and care of all ages, including, neonates.Qualifications:In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:Education RequirementsAssociates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsementBachelors Degree in Nursing preferredGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNsExperience RequirementsThree years nursing experience required.Prior lactation training and/or certification preferredLicenses/Certification RequirementsRN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure CompactInternational Board Certified Lactation Consultant requiredPhysical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Your Connected Community:---Following a major expansion, Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley's capacity tripled, now housing 171 beds to serve our growing community.
