Job Description Job Description Aquatic Program Instructor 1st Review & Interviews beginning April 2026 - Start Date May 1st, 2026 Position Title: Aquatic Program Instructor Position Status: Seasonal (Part-Time) Starting Pay Rate: $12.50/hour (Seasonal Range 1, $12.50-$16.00) Department: Parks & Recreation Facility: Lindon Aquatics Center Opening Date: February 6, 2026 Closing Date: Open Until Filled General Duties: Under the close supervision of the Aquatics Assistant Manager (WSI/Programs), the Aquatic Program Instructor will plan and operate various programs and classes at the Aquatics Center. Essential Job Functions: ? Plan, organize, and run the different programs that fits to a variety of different participants ? Greet members, have an upbeat positive attitude, be motivated and energetic, teach and build skills, water safety topics, etc. ? Work with management to ensure proper equipment is provide for the class ? Additionally, employees will be required to assist staff and perform other related work duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: ? Must be a minimum of 16 years old to apply ? Hold a current First-Aid/CPR/AED Certification or able to obtain re-certification within a month of hiring ? The facility will certify in First-Aid/CPR/AED if applicant does not currently hold certification ? The ideal candidate should possess the knowledge and experience in water classes and programs to present and implement a variety of aquatic programs Experience: ? Must have communication skills to communicate effectively and efficiently with the participants and other water fitness teaching experience. ? At least one year of Water Safety Instruction, Lifeguarding, or leadership experience Preferred Experience: Optional certifications and experience include Lifeguard certification and other Water Aerobics Instruction or Aquatic Program experience (ASFA, Aqua Zumba License, etc.) Schedule: This position works a variety of different times and schedule will be determined upon hiring.
